Loaded Turkey Burgers

As I was meal planning this week, I was getting really sick of seeing mostly chicken and steak. I needed some variety in my life... BADLY! I wrote down turkey burgers with no real recipe in mind, so as I started thinking about it more and more, I thought why not load them up? Turkey can be so bland and boring, but it doesn't have to be! The biggest pet peeve I have when it comes to cooking is bland food, it's unnecessary. Thats why I made these burgers full of spices and veggies, to give you more flavor! Not to mention it's perfect for those of you who need some extra greens in your life! Alternate option... This mixture is also great in meatloaf form! *For my 21 Day Fixers, 1 burger is 1 red and 1/2 a green!

Ingredients ............................ 2 Lbs Ground Turkey 2 Cloves of Garlic 1/4 White Onion

1 Roasted Jalapeño 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice 2 Cups Spinach 1/2 Tbsp Fresh Dill 1/2 Tbsp Fresh Parsley 1 Tsp Maple Syrup 1 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce

2 Tsp Olive Oil 1/2 Tbsp Salt 1/4 Tbsp Pepper Instructions 1. Cut the Jalapeño in half and remove the seeds. Place on a baking sheet skin side up and roast for 15 minutes or until skin pulls away from the pepper. 2. Cut the onion in to small pieces and add to a food processor with roasted skinless Jalapeño, pulse a few times until they are all in fairly small pieces and set aside. 3. In a large pan add the olive oil and the garlic, turn on medium heat and add in the spinach and wilt it down! 4. Mince up the parsley and dill and set aside. 5. In a large bowl mix all ingredients together with the ground turkey. Form in to 8 1/4 lb patties! 6. You can grill these on a outdoor grill, but I recommend doing them in a grill pan inside simply because turkey is low in fat and they tend to stick to an outdoor grill! 6. Enjoy! PRO TIP: If you do not need them right away, you can wrap them in cling wrap and freeze them in to individual patties! That way when you are ready to use them you only need to take out the burgers you need.
