Asian Inspired Bone-In Pork Chops

Writer's picture: Lauren WandellLauren Wandell

I really struggle with pork recipes, it's taken a lot of trial and error to get a recipe that I enjoy and can execute! In the past when I have attempted to prepare pork, I have found that it ends up dry and tough. The process I was using was causing me to over cook it. Previously, I would always sear the pork chops and then finish them in the oven and ever single time BAM overcooked. With this recipe, I have really tried to get around that and simplify the whole thing and made it only one step! They are oven baked simply because, it's easier to manage the temperature and get them to consistently come out tasting amazing! The Asian flavors that I use have been the best mix of salty, hot, and sweet that I have found thus far! So let's jump in to this shall we?

Ingredients ............................ 4 Bone In Pork Chops 2 Cloves of Garlic Minced 1/4 C Olive Oil

1/4 C Balsamic Vinegar 1/4 C Soy Sauce 1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes 1 Tsp Honey

1 Tbsp Spicy Brown Mustard 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger Instructions 1. Mix all the ingredients except the pork chops into a bag, bowl, or mason jar and mix thoroughly. 2. Add the pork chops to the mixture and marinade for a minimum of 4 hours, over night works best! 3. Preheat oven to 400 4. Remove pork chops from the marinade and place them in a baking dish. I personally use a pryex dish with raised sides. 5. Bake them in the oven (no searing necessary) for 25-30 minutes. 6. Enjoy! PRO TIP: This is also a good marinade for steak on the grill!
